BEAUTY TREATMENTS

Skin Lesions Removal

Traditionally, surgical excision (with stitching), electric cautery and cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen freezing) were the only techniques available for the removal of skin lesions such as moles, warts and skin tags. These techniques often leave scars which sometimes look worse than the lesion that was removed. At Cura Beauty Clinic, we use plasma energy, which is one of the safest methods that does not require any cutting or stitching resulting in a scarless removal.

How does it work?

Plasma is a unique form of gas that penetrates the skin from the outer layer (epidermis) down to the deeper layer (dermis). It triggers a process known as sublimation, where solids are transformed directly into gas. This technique is precise, minimally invasive, requires less downtime and eliminates the risk of bleeding compared to tradition procedures. Results are instant with moles, skin tags and warts being removed in minutes. Sebaceous hyperplasia can take longer as it may require manual extractions.

Moles are caused when cells in the skin called melanocytes grow in clusters instead of being spread throughout the skin. This can be due to genetic or hormonal changes. Some moles can become cancerous. Therefore doctor’s clearance is required before your booking.

Skin tags are small, noncancerous growths that form when the skin rubs against itself (commonly found on the neck, eyelids, or underarm area). Skin tags are harmless but they can affect one’s self-esteem. These can be easily removed in 1 plasma session.

If you have HPV warts, they can spread quickly to other parts of the body and you can also risk spreading your warts to other people via skin contact, especially if the skin is broken. HPV warts are very common in pregnant women or anyone with a low body immune system. These warts can feel uncomfortable or itchy.

Sebaceous Hyperplasia are small, yellowish bumps commonly found on nose, cheeks and forehead. These bumps can range in size from a few millimeters to a few centimeters. One of the most common cause is aging, as we age our skin produces less oil, which can lead to  enlargement of sebaceous glands.
